Simon Buchhorn

Chief Operating Officer

Simon has been with SCEE for 30 years and has extensive experience through a number of roles in the business. He is responsible for the Company’s operations, contract delivery, client negotiations and general business activities. Simon is a Director of KJ Johnson & Co Pty Ltd and holds an Electrical Engineering Certificate (NSW).

Phillip Dawson

General Manager Corporate Services

Phil has over 40 years experience in the mining industry and over 25 years in the Human Resources field. He was previously the Human Resources manager for Oxiana/ Oz Minerals’ Laos Gold and Copper operation in South East Asia. Prior to that Phil worked with BHP Billiton for more than 30 years both in the Pilbara and their Perth head office and has many years Industrial Relations, Training and generalist HR experience.

Chris Douglass

Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary

Chris was formerly the Chief Financial Officer at Pacific Energy Ltd, and prior to that held a number of senior financial roles with Clough Ltd. Chris is a chartered accountant who commenced his finance career with Deloitte. Prior to his time with Deloitte, Chris qualified and practiced as a solicitor in London.

Jorn Granger

General Manager East Coast Region

Jorn was the founder/Director of Oceanic Industries Pty Ltd which is now incorporated as Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited- Eastern Region.

Jorn has been in the Electrical Instrumentation industry for 18 years and has qualifications in Business Law and Management, an Assoc. Diploma in Process Engineering, Workplace Health and Safety, Instrument Technician, Electrical Fitter Mechanic Hazardous Area Auditor for Gases and Dusts and is an Electrical Contracting Nominee in most states of Australia.

Jorn's experience consists of Downstream LNG and Oil and Gas business and project mobilisation and execution through to Upstream , Mining projects both surface and underground construction through to port.

Jorns role as General Manager East Coast Region is to ensure successful growth and management of the company in the region and industry by way guidance, delivery, and service to our clients and projects.

 

Gary Everitt

General Manager Hindle Offshore Services

Gary Everitt has been with Hindle Electrics since 2004 as a Supervisor and Manger, providing electrical maintenance and construction services to the commercial and industrial sectors in Western Australia, and electrical maintenance and inspection services to the offshore oil & gas field.

Prior to his position with Hindle, Gary has worked on a number of projects within Australia and Overseas.

Gary has over 25 years experience in the mining and offshore oil & gas sector. Gary has worked alongside the Hindle team of specialised electricians in the offshore oil & gas industry and continues to introduce new people into the business to ensure that the reputation for service, quality and safety are maintained.

Gary has taken the role of General Manager for Hindle Offshore Services and from the experience and knowledge gained from Craig, the company will continue to grow and build a larger client base..

Paul Sheather

K.J. Johnson & Co General Manager

Paul is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and brings over 15 years of senior management and leadership experience in the resource construction and renewable energy industries as well as a military career in the Royal Australia Navy. Paul has worked for Southern Cross Electrical Engineering across a number of resource construction projects in Australia. He has recently returned to the SCEE Group following three years working on renewable energy projects in the UK and Europe.

He is responsible for the operation, business development, project delivery and general business activities of K.J. Johnson & Co.

Paul holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (UNSW).

Nigel Taylor

Manager Americas

Nigel has over 35 years experience in the Electrical Contracting Industry. He has extensive experience with international projects and remote sites. Nigel has been based with SCEE in Denver, USA since 1993.

Nigel has extensive experience in project/construction management. He has a sound knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation requirements in all facets of mining operations, plant construction, infrastructure projects and hazardous area installations.

Nigel has extensive experience in MV/HV power distribution including up to 230kV sub stations. He has a proven track record for consistently meeting goals and delivery of high level job performance
