Established in 1978, Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (SCEE), and its group of overseas companies, is dedicated to the cost effective supply of electrical and instrumentation installation services for major construction projects.

The company continues to return positive growth from completing major construction works worldwide.

Successful contracts have been completed in the mining, mineral sands, petrochemical, and heavy engineering industries throughout Australia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ghana, Mauritania, Tanzania, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Jamaica.

Past and present clientele are able to substantiate our impeccable project performances in relation to safety, quality assurance, engineering expertise and resources.

The company prides itself on the continuity of commercial relationships. This is evident by the volume of return work, new project negotiation by referral and open tender contract success.

Board Structure

The SCEE Board is responsible for the overall corporate governance of the Company including establishing and monitoring key performance goals. The Board has created a framework for managing the Company, including internal controls and a risk management process.

A Board Charter has been adopted by the Board and:

  • sets out the responsibilities of the Board in greater detail
  • envisages that the Board should comprise Directors with a broad range of skills, expertise and experience from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • allows the Board to delegate powers and responsibilities to committees established by the Board. The Board retains ultimate accountability to Shareholders in discharging its duties.

To assist in the execution of its responsibilities, the Board has established an Audit and Risk Committee, and a Nomination and Remuneration Committee. These committees have written mandates and operating procedures.
