In anticipation of the Project and in collaboration with a local contractor, CSIESA successfully developed and tested new products such as cable ladders, cable ladder parts and system as a whole to suit the project requirements and minimise installation demands including supports and designs that mostly related to lighting and instrumentation.

Other constructability studies to support the engineering and installation effectiveness included, among others remote control and monitoring of the bore field pumping systems, supply and control of remote loads such as crushing plants, use of aerial low voltage cable supports in lieu of cable ladders over steep, rocky terrain and in remote location.

By working closely with the Client, recognising and timely fulfilling their needs in bringing this project to a successful completion whether this was to be the supply of labour, material or specialised equipment for a project that was 4000m above sea level. Cruz del Sur Ingeniería Eléctrica S.A. (Southern Cross Electrical Engineering) also developed a strong bond with the local community and assisted in the education and training of the local employees.
