Location: South Flank, WA Market: Resources – Mining Performed by: SEME Solutions
Scope of Work:
SEME Solution’s client needed an access control system (ACS) that could remotely manage autonomous truck access as well as restricting access into critical areas at their South Flank mine site in Western Australia. The ACS delivered had to be able to communicate with the Gallagher Command Centre in Perth and as there was limited power on the remote site, needed to be powered with solar.
The team at SEME Solutions drew on its years of expertise, including several leading supply partners, to design a portable solar powered boom gate skid that would protect the perimeter of this regional facility, allowing remote control via their command centre in Perth.
Once the design was approved, SEME Solutions manufactured 29 of the boom gate skids, installing them on site and integrating them with an onsite wireless card reader skid. This was then integrated to the Gallagher server via high gain antennas with 4G modems which connected to the BHP WAIO production server.
